FAMILIA-R: ¡AN INSTALLATION AT DUCKLER!
The Sante Alleys, CA - June, 2025
I concluded my first art practice fellowship, 2024/2025 Heidi Duckler Fellowship, with a multi-room installation at the historic Bendix building in Downtown Los Angeles. Alongside a collection of photographs, I displayed an archive of artifacts, handmade photo books, and debuted a video installation from an upcoming film essay project, Papias: ¡How a Mexican is Born, of Stone!

I debuted my first multi-month photography installation on March 14th, 2025 at the world famous Tia Chucha’s Bookstore in Sylmar, CA. A collection of never before seen photographs that spanned the everyday advocacy and large scale multi-city organizing of Vaquera/x/o’s from the San Fernando Valley.

Foo-ls Gold…. has been installed, in multiple iterations/groupings, across public and private venues spanning the state of California. With one specific iteration inducted into the University of California, Berkeley’s permanent collection. Each grouping’s name differs: The Good, The Bad, and The Pocho; ¡Holy Mole!; Foo-ls Gold: A Deconstructed Photo Zine of Latina/x/o’s & Their Chains.
